Southern Cross School K-12 A NSW Government School

At Southern Cross K-12 our focus is teaching and learning. This happens because as a safe and happy school:

  • Teachers and students respect each other.

  • We respect individual differences.

  • We always consider the newcomer.

  • We respect the property and personal space of others.

  • We solve problems by working them out together.

  • We do not tolerate aggression or violence.

  • We are positive and supportive and avoid unkindness, put-downs and rumours.

  • Bullying and teasing are not on!

  • We treat others the way we would like to be treated.

S outhern Cross School K-12 runs a self-select program which is designed to encourage enthusiasm for higher achievement. It involves quality teaching practices and a challenging and innovative curriculum. It also encourages a mindset amongst all students that is more likely to lead to learning success.

Students in Years 7-10 also enjoy a comprehensive and wide range of elective subjects in addition to the core learning areas, which can be continued in the senior years. A successful school-to-work program is run for students not wishing to continue in senior study.
